Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT®)
VPAT for GXP Server and Desktop Solutions
BAE Systems is committed to equal opportunity employment as reflected in the importance we place on understanding, implementing, and maintaining ongoing compliance with standards for all individuals that access and consume our services.
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, make available new opportunities for people with disabilities, and encourage development of technologies that will help achieve these goals. BAE Systems, in turn, supports the importance of adhering to these accessibility guidelines and standards for all users of its Geospatial eXploitation Products™ (GXP®) software.
There are several methods for completing an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR). The Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT®), which is a template developed by the IT Industry Council (ITI), is the most common method as it provides all the relevant Section 508 Technical Standards as well as instructions on how to complete a report in one tool. VPATs, which include alignment to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, describe the conformance level for accessibility features, Functional Performance Criteria, and evaluation methods used for each of the standard evaluation items.
GXP currently maintains the following VPAT(s):
- GXP Xplorer® Platform, which offers a suite of server-based software solutions that enable the discovery, visualization, and exploitation of mission critical geospatial and temporal data. The GXP Xplorer Platform includes GXP Xplorer, GXP WebView®, GXP InMotion™, GXP Fusion®, and GXP OpsView® software solutions. VPAT is now available.
- SOCET GXP® and GXP InMotion™ desktop software solutions, which combine advanced geospatial exploitation, video analysis, and customized product creation into one comprehensive solution. VPAT is now available.
Please check back in the future for information on additional VPATs for other products in the GXP Ecosystem.
