BAE Systems GXP® expands St. Louis presence with move downtown to the Globe Building

August 12, 2025 – St. Louis, MO

The Geospatial eXploitation Products (GXP®) team at BAE Systems has officially relocated its St. Louis operations to the historic Globe Building in downtown St. Louis, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the region’s thriving geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) ecosystem.

The Globe Building, a premier hub for secure data, innovation, and technology companies, has become a cornerstone of the city’s new Geospatial Innovation District. By moving into this vibrant community, BAE Systems is positioning its cutting-edge geospatial software solutions at the heart of St. Louis’ rapidly expanding GEOINT sector.

“St. Louis has long been a center of excellence for geospatial innovation, and our move to the Globe Building underscores our investment in supporting the missions of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), as well as the larger defense and intelligence communities,” said Steve Lossman, Deputy Director for BAE Systems’ GXP Customer Technical Solutions team and a St. Louis native. “This new location allows us to collaborate more closely with the next generation of geospatial leaders, startups, and innovators driving mission success.”

The relocation also coincides with the recent completion of the new NGA-St. Louis campus on the north side of the city, further strengthening ties between government and industry while aligning with NGA’s own expansion in the region. Together, these moves demonstrate BAE Systems’ dedication to advancing capabilities in geospatial analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML)-enabled exploitation, and cross-domain collaboration for the GEOINT community.

The Globe Building, once a bustling railroad terminal, has been transformed into a state-of-the-art facility supporting high-security tenants with unique data center infrastructure, robust power and connectivity, and even classified operations. Its strategic location and secure environment make it a natural fit for GXP’s mission to deliver geospatial solutions that help defense, intelligence, and security professionals make faster, more informed decisions.

With its new office, BAE Systems reaffirms its role as a trusted partner to NGA and the broader St. Louis geospatial intelligence ecosystem, continuing a legacy of innovation that ensures U.S. and allied warfighters maintain mission advantage in an increasingly complex world.
