TRACK 1 — Leveraging Geospatial eXploitation Products™ for GEOINT workflows
Designed for imagery analysts and those wishing to learn more about GXP’s core Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) capabilities, Track 1 will guide participants through the discovery, exploitation, and dissemination of geospatial data, with additional focus on Structured Observation Management (SOM) and the integration of our solutions into a cloud-hosted environment.
Workshop 1.1: Leveraging GXP’s enterprise solution: Search and discovery
Attendees will learn how GXP Xplorer® can be used to catalog your satellite and aerial imagery through an intuitive user interface that allows for simple search and filters in order to quickly identify relevant data. Advanced search functionality, product notifications, and discovery of supplemental report data, as well as the interactivity between GXP Xplorer, GXP WebView®, and SOCET GXP®, will be further illustrated through a live demonstration. Finally, the recently introduced GXP Xplorer Disconnected solution, which allows users to leverage imagery and intelligence data in the field, will be discussed in detail.
Workshop 1.2: The latest advances in image exploitation
This workshop will focus on the advanced analytic capabilities of both GXP WebView and SOCET GXP. New functionality for GXP WebView, such as templates, workspaces, and advanced mensuration tools, as well as new capabilities within SOCET GXP, including a band preview window, Ribbon customization, and new drawing tools, will be highlighted. In addition, a demonstration of change detection workflows and LiDAR visualization will be presented.
Workshop 1.3: Structured Observation Management (SOM) and advanced analytics
Participants will discover how key intelligence observations, including changes to an area of interest over time, can be extracted and stored using the Activity Reporting Tool (ART) in both SOCET GXP and GXP WebView. Advanced analytics based on these structured observations, as well as the dissemination of products (including publishing to the ArcGIS® portal), will be demonstrated.
Workshop 1.4: Tips and tricks for GEOINT workflows
This special session will address a variety of pressing questions regarding GXP solutions including the integration of SOCET GXP into the AWS cloud, administrative configurations to set you up for success, workflow issues identified in prior Track 1 workshops, and tips for generating the most return from your GEOINT workflows. Note: This discussion will conclude with an open Q&A with our Customer Technical Solutions team.
TRACK 2 — Leveraging Geospatial eXploitation Products for MOVINT workflows
Designed for video and all-source analysts, as well as those wishing to learn more about GXP’s Movement Intelligence (MOVINT) capabilities, Track 2 will provide participants with a better understanding of the use of MOVINT in mission planning including advanced video exploitation, tracking analytics, and integration of our solutions into a cloud-hosted environment.
Workshop 2.1: What is Movement Intelligence (MOVINT) and how can it be used while leveraging GXP’s enterprise solution?
Attendees will learn how GXP Xplorer can be used to catalog your geospatial data and how GXP MOVINT solutions can significantly enhance standard imagery and/or video analysis. Scenarios discussed will include analysis of tracks extracted from Full Motion Video (FMV), Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI), Ground Moving Target Indicators (GMTI), the newly implemented Automatic Identification System (AIS) integration for Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA), and the GXP OnScene mobile application.
Workshop 2.2: Video exploitation with GXP InMotion™
Join us to learn how GXP InMotion can be leveraged to visualize and analyze FMV for mission success. Participants will learn how this solution is used to capture, restream, and catalog mission observations through real-time video exploitation, as well as how SOCET GXP is used to generate video products and quickly publish those products to your enterprise system.
Workshop 2.3: GXP MOVINT solutions: Track creation and exploitation
Learn how to utilize a variety of MOVINT data to develop and analyze object tracks utilizing GXP software solutions. We will demonstrate how to generate and discover track data in GXP Xplorer utilizing the Tracking Analytics Software Suite (TASS), and how to use either SOCET GXP or GXP WebView MOVINT for advanced forensic analysis and product generation.
Workshop 2.4: Deploying motion imagery and MOVINT solutions into your environment
Are you ready to add the GXP InMotion Server or TASS to your workflow or enterprise? We will provide a preview into what’s required to deploy these systems in support of your PED workflows. This session will cover both cloud and on-premise instances, virtualization considerations, administration and advanced user topics, and how the GXP InMotion Server and TASS can be used in tandem.
GXP solutions for enhanced situational awareness and field collaboration
Learn how sites can support field operations by combining data from hand-held, aerial, and satellite imagery, as well as FMV and other sources, with the goal of enhancing situational awareness and providing a decision advantage both to operators on the ground and those in command. Products developed during this session will include simple reaction measurements as well as more complex overlays, collaborative graphics, and analytics including view-sheds, video annotation and clipping, 3-D terrain awareness outputs, and more.
Customizing the GXP Application Programming Interface (API)
Cloud adoption strategies for GXP Platform™ solutions
Adopting cloud computing technology in your enterprise can be both complicated and confusing. In this session, we’ll discuss the broad approaches your organization should consider when trying to run GXP Platform technology in cloud computing environments. The benefits and limitations of each approach will be covered in detail so that your organization can make an informed decision grounded in real world experience.
Looking into the future: GXP’s key R&D initiatives
This research and development workshop will offer a glimpse into the future of geospatial exploitation as we present and demonstrate current GXP research initiatives including machine learning, video processing, embedded software, single image photogrammetry, and more!
Deploying GXP solutions for tactical operations
After tactical products have been created, GXP OpsView® (supported by GXP Xplorer and GXP MOVINT solutions) can be used to plan and execute a variety of tactical operations including critical mission deployment, event/VIP security, and incident/disaster response. Participants will learn how real-time location tracking, team and incident management, tasking, data overlays, and mobile application with the tactical products all enhance the safety, situational awareness, and effectiveness of field operatives.
From remote sensing to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), how Drones are changing photogrammetric workflows
After attending this workshop, you will understand how photogrammetric workflows within SOCET GXP v4.4 are leveraged to create products with enhanced precision and accuracy for the use in land navigation, object location, facility analysis, feature measurement, volumetric feature extraction, and more! Attendees will discover how to leverage drone and satellite imagery to apply weighting to improve the geospatial accuracy of multiple types of input imagery, create terrain models and orthomosaics, and enable feature analysis and Structured Object Management (SOM) workflows within the GXP product suite.
Supporting disconnected operations with GXP Platform solutions
This workshop will cover best practices for administrators of GXP Xplorer, including tools for supporting disconnected operations such as our new GXP Xplorer Disconnected solution. Presenters will demonstrate how to use shapefiles as a gazetteer and points of interest for notification services, configure Controlled Image Base (CIB) and Compressed ARC Digitized Raster Graphics (CADRG) as a map background, and avoid common installation and upgrade mistakes. Finally, attendees will learn how to use the new data model editor’s user interface to change the style of map view overlays.
