Monday Boot Camp


Get a head start on the technical program by attending GXP Boot Camp. This full day of training will lay the foundation for the rest of the conference by presenting a comprehensive overview of the GXP ecosystem including SOCET GXP®, GXP Xplorer®, GXP WebView®, GXP InMotion, GXP Fusion®, and GXP OpsView®. Sample scenarios will include the use of product search tools and methods, as well as the creation of image and video products. In addition to guided group instruction, you will also have the opportunity to further explore each product at your own pace.


  • 1st phase imagery analysis with GXP Xplorer and GXP WebView

    Analysts will learn how to conduct 1st phase analysis using GXP Xplorer and GXP WebView in a web browser. We will discuss GXP Workflows for automated notifications, how to connect to external data sources, discover imagery and products in GXP Xplorer, and exploit selections using GXP WebView. In addition, attendees will discover how to add annotations, apply templates, manage saved workspaces, and publish imagery-based products back out in multiple formats or save them to GXP Xplorer.

  • Full Motion Video (FMV) exploitation with GXP InMotion

    This course will highlight GXP FMV exploitation capabilities using web, desktop, and server while walking users through workflows integrating products across the GXP ecosystem. Attendees will learn how to utilize GXP InMotion, SOCET GXP, and the GXP Xplorer Platform to empower a complete end-to-end workflow from product creation to enterprise dissemination.

  • Utilizing SOCET GXP to create structured observations

    Attendees will learn how to build an Observation database and leverage it through the SOCET GXP Structured Observation Management (SOM) tool. Additional discussion will focus on how to create and discover observations across the entire GXP Xplorer Platform (including GXP WebView and GXP Fusion). Note: The connection to artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) results, as well as features and population of SOM databases, will also be reviewed.

  • Exploitation of advanced GEOINT sources

    Have you wanted to learn more about advanced GEOINT exploitation, but just haven’t had the time to attend a GXP regional training class? Join us for this special course to discover new ways to efficiently exploit Multispectral (MSI), Hyperspectral (HSI), and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data through a variety of different tools and algorithms within SOCET GXP.

  • GXP at the tactical edge

    In the absence of external networks, attendees will learn how to utilize GXP Xplorer Disconnected, as well as SOCET GXP and GXP WebView, to efficiently deliver imagery intelligence to the frontline operator in a deployed tactical environment. We will also cover the synchronization of multiple instances of GXP Xplorer across an enterprise, as well as how to publish out Compressed ARC Digitized Raster Graphics (CADRG) / Controlled Image Base (CIB) data to non-intel users such as aircrew and operations.

  • Elevate your GXP product experience

    Learn new ways to implement and integrate elevation data into your workflows to increase accuracy and productivity. Data from several different sources will be included in the terrain that participants will develop during this course. Make sure to take advantage of this hands-on class in which attendees get to create their own data as GXP support staff guides everyone through the process.

  • Targeting workflows (U.S. only)

    In light of the U.S. Military’s recent shift from a focus on counterinsurgency to near-peer threats, it has become evident that intelligence professionals must adapt to a new paradigm that places a renewed focus on advanced targeting workflows. As a result, defense and intelligence agencies are evolving their methodologies for deriving accurate points, simplifying workflows, and communicating precision mensuration down range to ensure mission success. In this first of two U.S. Sessions, we will discuss these new targeting methodologies as well as recent innovation designed to assist warfighters as they adapt to this pivot.
    Note: A U.S. Common Access Card (CAC), IC badge, or passport is required to attend this session.

  • Exploitation of data (U.S. only)

    Sources of intelligence and methods of creating intelligence value for decision makers have changed with the U.S. Military’s recent “nation-state pivot.” For example, traditional SAR and GMTI is now of greater significance in determining adversary locations and intentions, and situational awareness of near-peer units and assets has made SOM much more important to today’s intelligence analyst. In this second U.S. Session, these elements, as well as some new technologies and tools to make sense of today’s new reality, will be discussed in detail.
    Note: A U.S. Common Access Card (CAC), IC badge, or passport is required to attend this session.

  • The GXP technology partner ecosystem

    Please join us for a special introduction to select GXP technology partners as they deliver 15 minute lightning talks on their product offering and detail how their solutions integrate into and enhance the GXP ecosystem. Areas of focus during this session will include new types of data, as well as AI/ML technologies including Natural Language Processing, Automatic Georegistration (for targeting and video), and Object Detection from EO/SAR/IR imagery. Attendees will also learn how GXP supports NATO standards such as CSD synchronization, Intelligence Requirements, and Intelligence Collection Management.

    Featured presenters in this session will include Preligens, MetaVI, Babel Street, Edgybees, Janes, TerraGo, and Esri. In addition, representatives from NATO BICES will discuss how they’ve been addressing a variety of geospatial challenges through solutions provided by GXP and our technology partners.

Workshop Descriptions


  • Workshop 1: Bridging the gap: Enabling a common experience between imagery and cartographic production

    Explore the GXP ecosystem and learn how to successfully analyze, create, and publish geospatial information with SOCET GXP, GXP Fusion, and third-party GIS systems such as Esri. In this session, we will dive deep into how SOCET GXP and GXP Xplorer connect to a wide variety of databases while highlighting new and updated drawing tools to enhance your cartographic production.

  • Workshop 2: Leveraging the GXP Workflow Manager to customize workflows for different missions

    This workshop will illustrate the GXP ecosystem’s Workflow Manager capabilities including how to augment third-party AI/ML software. Starting with the creation of manual workflows, we will cover the quality assurance and quality control process, including publishing final products into GXP Fusion for further analysis. Attendees will also learn how to create an automatic workflow triggered by specific conditional criteria, thereby reducing the time between data discovery and product creation. Through demonstration and technical details, attendees will leave with a better understanding of the GXP Workflow Manager for their unique mission environment.

  • Workshop 3: I like to MOVINT MOVINT

    Connecting the “dots” from collections to production, this workshop will explain the transitioning of raw inputs from multiple MOVINT sources such as GMTI, AIS, WAMI and FMV into usable activity-based results utilized across the GXP ecosystem.

  • Workshop 4: Full Motion Video (FMV) PED in the GXP ecosystem

    In this workshop, we will leverage the GXP ecosystem to configure an FMV mission through the GXP InMotion Server, connect to the mission in GXP InMotion Desktop for near real-time analysis and exploitation, and harness the power of GXP Xplorer and GXP Fusion to view post-mission data analytics for decision-making and target development.

  • Workshop 5: Solving the modern intelligence problem through the discovery of hidden trends and patterns in your data

    Join us on a journey through the GXP ecosystem as we piece together the puzzle to develop a complete multi-INT solution. From ground truth to the decision-maker’s desk, we create an eagle eye view by combining workflows, third-party AI/ML algorithms, visualizations, and network/relationship awareness. Upon completion of the workshop, attendees will walk away with a conceptualization of the entire GXP ecosystem from a Multi-INT perspective.

  • Workshop 6: Generating high-accuracy geospatial products for mission planning and situational awareness

    This workshop will focus on using SOCET GXP and the GXP Xplorer Platform to simplify and streamline accuracy improvements of geospatial datasets. This improved geo-positioning allows users to create highly accurate geospatial products to assist in situational awareness and mission planning. Techniques to be discussed include triangulation, terrain generation and advanced editing, ortho-rectification, and automated and semi-automated feature extraction.

  • Workshop 7a: How to make SOCET GXP configuration and administration work for you

    Please join us as we guide attendees through the optimal installation and configuration of the SOCET GXP desktop application. Helpful tips will be provided regarding hands-on software installation, customized environment variables, and software licensing. By the end of this session, attendees will have a better understanding of how to easily manage SOCET GXP software, from a single workstation to an entire enterprise.

  • Workshop 7b: Enabling the GXP Xplorer Platform to maximize the user experience

    This workshop will provide insight into the various capabilities available to ensure that users of the GXP Xplorer Platform take full advantage of the administration settings. Participants will develop an understanding of topics including user management with discretionary access across the enterprise, utilizing metrics to identify potential bottlenecks, off-loading process intensive tasks, and future capabilities being introduced into the GXP Xplorer Platform. Please join us as we discover how to leverage the full capabilities of the GXP Xplorer Platform to maximum effect.

  • Workshop 8: Product creation in the GXP ecosystem

    This session is for every intelligence analyst who wants to learn how to expedite the creation of products in the GXP ecosystem using SOCET GXP, GXP WebView, GXP Fusion, and different data types and sources. Product examples will include Coherent Change Detection (CCD), Network Graphs, Multi-Image Products, GeoPDF, Gridded Reference Graphics (GRG), and several others. Creation of these highly accurate products contribute to a better understanding of the common operating picture while conducting both connected and disconnected operations.
