2023 Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition

The Association of the United States Army’s Annual Meeting is the largest land power exposition and professional development forum in North America. Taking place over three days, the Annual Meeting is designed to deliver the Army’s message by highlighting the capabilities of organizations and presenting a wide range of industry products and services. AUSA accomplishes this task throughout the entire event by providing informative and relevant presentations on the State-of-the-Army, panel discussions and seminars on pertinent military and national security subjects, and a variety of valuable networking events available to all that attend.

The AUSA Annual Meeting, designed to deliver the Army’s message by highlighting the capabilities of Army organizations and presenting a wide range of industry products and services. In addition to the expansive show floor filled with 700+ exhibitors, attendees have access to:

  • Informative and relevant presentations on the state of the Army
  • Panel discussions and seminars on pertinent military and national security subjects
  • A variety of valuable networking events including ticketed dinners and receptions
  • A hands-on opportunity to specify and see the latest technology in action

AUSA’s Annual Meeting includes the total Army – Regular Army, Guard, Reserve, civilians, and family members. SPIE Optics + Photonics 2023

Please join BAE Systems Geospatial eXploitation Products (GXP®) at the 2023 SPIE Optics + Photonics for a special GXP presentation Maintaining original color when applying super-resolution to individual bands.

Maintaining original color when applying super-resolution to individual bands
Hosted by Dr. Bingcai Zhang
Date: Wednesday 23 August, 0830 PST

At BAE Systems GXP, we have developed a system that applies deep learning super-resolution (SR) to multispectral and hyperspectral satellite imagery in order to deduce higher resolution images from lower resolution images while maintaining the original color of the lower resolution pixels. A super-resolution model, which uses Deep Convolution Neural Networks (DCNNs), is trained using individual image bands, a large crop size or tile size of 512 x 512 pixels, and a de-noise algorithm.

Applying our algorithms to maintain the original color of the image bands improves the quality metrics of the super-resolution images as measured by peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index measure (SSIM) of super-resolution images. One of the most important applications of satellite imagery is the automatic detection of small objects such as vehicles and small boats. With super-resolution images generated by our system, the object detection accuracy (recall and precision) has improved by 20% with Planet® Labs multispectral satellite images.

Join leading researchers and scientists as they contribute to advancements in optical engineering, nanotechnology, quantum science, organic photonics, and astronomical instrumentation.

Visitors will learn more about how the GXP software ecosystem enables development of the most advanced geospatial intelligence, including the discovery, exploitation, and dissemination of geospatial and temporal data.

GXP and Esri have teamed up to provide an Enterprise solution, including the integration of GXP software and Portal for ArcGIS®, with which users can:

  • Automatically export Structured Observation Management (SOM) within the GXP ecosystem to an Esri Feature Service/Enterprise Geodatabase
  • Design and publish Web Maps to Portal for ArcGIS directly from SOCET GXP®
  • Share SOCET GXP products with Portal for ArcGIS
  • Push GXP Xplorer® catalog contents to Portal for ArcGIS
  • Catalog and display ArcGIS Enterprise REST services in the GXP Xplorer Platform
  • Directly connect to Esri Geodatabases in SOCET GXP
  • Dynamically link ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro with a SOCET GXP Multiport
  • Connect SOCET GXP and GXP InMotion directly to ArcGIS Earth

Find innovation, inspiration, and motivation as you explore all things GIS with technical experts, peers, and exhibitors. Browse the beautiful Map Gallery entries. Check out products and solutions in the Expo and Esri Showcase.
